    ‘58 correct Inca Silver paint

Looking for someone who has correct formula/source for ‘58 Inca Silver. A good friend is doing his 58 which was silver but then painted over in white. What do we need to know about getting this a correct hue? Thanks in advance!

            Chris,

FYI - Inca Silver wasn't used in '56-7 Coves. The 56-7 cove color was Silver Metallic according to GM docs.

Tom Ames came up with an exact match for the 56-7 silver coves.

Let me know if you want the Silver coves paint formula.

Guys, be aware that the GM code for silver may stay the same but the formula can change from year to year. There are many colors that have the same code, yet they will have different names and different formulas. Always check the code for the particular year to get a proper formula.

For example, one that I am very familiar with is code 976. Nassau Blue in 66, Marina Blue in 67 and LeMans Blue in 68,69 and Mulsanne Blue in 70. All different formulas for the same code.

                    Regards, Joe

                      Joe,

Thanks. Tom Ames created this 56-7 covers Silver Metallic formula within the last 6 or 7 years.
