1974 BB Air Cleaner Stud For A329C Filter - Need Size Info

Hi All -
Need size info for the correct factory air cleaner stud (from the 74 BB quadrajet carb to air cleaner lid).
Was the stud shorter than the stud used on the thicker A348 filter or were all the 74 stud sizes the same?

‘My BB ‘74 uses the 329C filter and the stud measures 1 1/2” from the carb flange to the tip of the stud. According to the AIM, there were 2 different studs used in ‘74. The BB used part no. 3921975 and the SB’s used part no.3737482 as did all Corvettes through at least 1978.

...I can't measure the stud on my '74 L-48(due to storage)that came with a A 329 C air filter. I would almost have to believe that my stud and your stud, both using the A 329 C filter would be the same. The '74s that used the A 348 C air filter had to have had a longer stud as an A 348 C air filter is a good bit taller than the shorter A 329 C.74 at 51yrs old.jpg

Paul Borowski is correct, we had this exact miscuse in Indiana flight judging. a 74' going thru flight judging had a air cleaner stud much too long after research judging and verification from air cleaner label it was determaned this 74 came from the factory with an A348 air filter and some third party repair shop looked in his early 74 books and installed an A329c. It's atleast 1" more likely 1.25"
