    Don Allen Chevrolet and memorabilia

The AACA museum in Hershey, Pennsylvania is in the process of creating a Don Allen Chevrolet display, which will start in April this year. We are looking for any memorabilia or cars that may have come from these dealerships. The dealerships were in New York City, Miami, Pittsburgh and Buffalo as well as other cities. Hopefully we can find one or two Chevrolet cars or trucks that are in the northeast that were sold New at Don Allen Chevrolet dealerships. Also, any unique memorabilia that could be loaned would be great. The display will last about three months. you may contact me at Gray6363@gmail.com thank you Dave Gray

We are doing very well with our Don Allen display material. We would still like to get a Don Allen delivered car or pickup
truck for our display. Also any unique advertising items would be great.

      Dave,

not sure if you want to buy anything, but here's a matchbook...you have to scroll down in the ad to see the back of the cover
FrigiKing Auto Air Conditioner Super Quick Whole Car Cooling, Don Allen Chevrolet, 5315 Baum Blvd., Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania Matchbook. The item has no edge wear and no corner wear.

      also, here's a '59 Corvette-related ad
      thx,
      Mark

Don Allen Chevrolet Miami was Chevrolet Engineering's Dealer source for the 4th Corvette (vin #09, race #7)prepared at the Sebring airport garage for the '56 race, also was the source to purchase and have dealer install a hard top which Engineering was considering using at Sebring. Might have some correspondence (not a lot) but never the less an interesting story not commonly known.

I am aware of the high performance work that the Miami Dealership performed. I believe that the three Cunningham Corvettes were delivered there and later raced at Lemans.
          Thanks for the info. Dave

I have seen these items before. We have quite a bit of literature and memorabilia already, but are looking for more. Thank you.
