I am installing a new power steering pump and hoses on a 69 427. I do not have the original hoses. The replacement low pressure hose is way too long and before I cut it down I wondered if anyone knows what the correct factory length is supposed to be. Thanks for any help.

Attached is a photo of an NOS GM #3826278 power steering return hose [not for sale]. This an older example as can be seen with the original style single crimp; later hoses have double crimps. This hose is 14" in length from the base of the crimped fitting to the end.

I think the chances of finding an NOS GM #3826278 with the original style narrow single crimp is pretty slim. The chances of finding an NOS GM #3826278 with the later style double crimp is much greater as this style hose was available from GM until relatively recently. Both hoses have 14" hose length.
I have seen excellent reproductions of this hose with a wide crimp and 14" hose length. These should be readily available. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Here's a comparison of the original style, single narrow crimp GM #3826278 and later style GM #3826278 with double crimp. Both have 14" hose length.

Well, sort of. I am the original owner of my 1969 and I originally ordered it with the 300 hp small block. I had owned 2 big block Chevelles prior to the Corvette (a 1966 L-34 and a 1968 L-78). When I ordered the Corvette I was "done" with big blocks.
But many years later, when GM re-released the ZL-1 bare block, I decided I was going to try one again, especially since I had long since ended the daily use of the Corvette. So, I bought the bare block and all the internal parts I needed to build my version of the ZL-1. I also had completely rebuilt and restored the original engine for the Corvette so that when I tire of the big block, the original engine will again take up its original space in the engine bay.
Photos of the "ZL-1" and restored original 350 are shown below:

By the way, I should have added that the power steering systems for small block and big block are the same except for:
1) pump bracketry
2) pressure hose from pump to control valve
NOS examples of the small block GM #3826277 and big block GM #3878886 pressure hoses are shown below {none for sale]:
