1957 Deck Lid Latch Mounting Screws

Can someone tell me the size of the screws that attach the deck lid latches. I think they are 10/24 machine screws with oval head Phillips.

56-57 early soft top latches do not have screws to bolt them to the deck lid.

Hi Gary, the manual says that mid production 57 could have either the latches with the studs or the screws. In my case mine is very early 56 but I,m having to use the later ones with screws as can't get the correct ones anymore. I,m trying to keep as correct as possible. Would still like to know what size if you can help me out.

Both the early latch studs and the later latch screws are #12-24 on the latches I have. Just like the windshield T-bolts.
