    Steering shock (Damper) C2

Is there a replacement part/source for the studded bushing that attaches to the frame bracket? It seems a shame to trash the original dated damper. It still has good resistance and cleaned up nicely.

Thanks, JimSteering shock.jpgSteering shock 2.jpgSteering shock bushing 2.jpgSteering shock bushing.jpg

I wonder if a couple of lower rear shock rubbers would be the same diameter? Or maybe a couple stabilizer bar bushings.

Dan does restore these, but I'm not sure if he would only replace the bushing without doing the rest.
You can always contact him and ask. He's a nice guy.

I'll contact Dan. May as well check the tension also.
            Thanks for the lead

              Edward,

Whatever modern bushing is used it would have to have enlarged ends to resist motion along the axis of the stud. Like the two bulging ends do in an original bushing.
