Just bought 1967 C2 convertible. The turn signals, hazard light, tail lights all work. No brake lights. I have already done a search on the forum and it is not clear where I should strart to solve no brake lignts. Brake light switch, turn indicator, fuse, or ? Where is the fuse located so I can check that. Thank you in advance.

This is the switch. (White item) TO test circuit just short the 2 wires together. If the lights work then your switch is bad.Attached Files- Top

Robert - looks like this is your first post so Welcome to the NCRS Technical Discussion Board.
As Gary pointed out, there is a switch that is activated by the movement of your brake pedal arm and
maybe the wire connections aren't good or it needs a bit of adjustment. Here's a pic of the brake light
activation light switch on my 66 roadster.IMG_2158.jpgMike T. - Prescott AZ.- Top

The fuse should be the 2nd one up from the bottom on the left side of the fuse block which is just above the headlight hi beam foot switch.
Also, although not factory correct, I had to replace my brake light switch 20+ years ago and bought one at NAPA for $6...
might be worth a shot if you need to be driving the car...thx,

Re: 1967 C2 no brake lights
Thank you to all the replies. I crawled under the dash as you directed. Found the white switch and removed it and unpluged the wires. I put a jumper on the two wire terminals and brake like was on! Checked the switch with ommeter and it was good. So reassembled and adjusted and works fine. Either ternimals were dirty or adjusted wrong. All good now. Thank you for the guidance. Now on to the odometer - see my next post as I work through the problems.- Top

Do you think your brake light switch is original to the car? Is the center of the end with the spade terminals white? Or black?
