    Membership Dues Renewal

When Marlyn Heitzman was handleing the members portfolio, we use to get a reminder approx 1 month prior to the expiration of our membertship. I know Marlyn has retired, but I thought this reminder would be automatically generated. My membership expires at the end of November, however I never received a notice. Its by luck that my Ontario and HOO membership is due at the end of the year, so I renewed it. In trying to keep the membership at least stable, this reminder would go a long way. Could this be a glitch in the system with other changes that have been made?

    Pat,

    1) questions about membership should be asked in the NCRS Help Desk ncrs.org/helpdesk
    2) there is no glitch in the system
    3) nothing has changed all the emails are automated by the IT system
    4) check your email ISP webmail SPAM folder

I have a Dec 1 date as well, and did received notice on November 4th.
That date might help you looking through old emails. It comes from the NCRS Online Store account.

That's strange as I went back to September and nothing showed up. Anyway I don't want to make an issue out of it as it may be the computer operator. Thanks for the reply

          Pat,

SPAM accounts for 80% of all emails. ISP's change their anti spam algorithms daily. If there's text in the email body the algorithms flag, then the email as marked as SPAM, even if it isn't.

Attached is a PDF on how to improve NCRS email deliverability from Bill Calorico's 1 point judging school at the Texas Chapter Lone Star Regional.

I check my ISP SPAM folder twice a day. Often find bank info and other important docs incorrectly marked as SPAM.

Pat my dues were up in October I received a notice in early September by mail. I remember when we could renew for 3 years and we would recieve a T shirt or a pocket numbers book ( which I still use ) I wonder why the option stopped.

Reminders also list the address and where to remit the current dues amount! These change from time to time. I use online banking so the due date is set for annual along with address and amount. Reminder lists corrections and are a welcome notification alert to correct the online banking notification! My dues is due June so its good to hear of these glitches now and worked out by that date.

Where do you check to see if you renewed for multiple years?

                    John,

Click on the 'My Profile' tab and then click on 'About Me' and you can scroll down to see your expiration date.
