Can I install solid lifters in the 1971 base 270hp engine?

For the 1971 year, the base 270hp, and 330hp LT1 engines both use the same engine block, 3970010, and cylinder heads, 3973487. Can I install solid lifters into the base 270hp engine? What parts would I need to make the change? I love the sound of solid lifters, and hope I can install them in the 270hp engine. Thanks

To install solid lifters in your engine you would need to install a camshaft designed for solid lifters. You absolutely cannot install them on your existing camshaft.

Keep in mind that while the base engine and LT-1 did use the same block and head CASTINGS, there were many other internal differences between the two engines.

May be easier to just find a solid lifter engine for sale and install that?
