    1970 Steering wheel chrome

The chrome has detached from my original steering wheel. It's about a 7 inch section. Is there a recommended way of gluing this back. Pressing on it simply moves the bow to one side. Not sure if this is a common issue

I really cannot think of any chrome on any 1969-75 Corvette steering wheel. The frame of the wheel is stainless steel and the remainder a very hard black rubber or plastic material. Can you post a photo?

sorry for the poor description. I'm speaking about the stainless ring that is embedded into the black plastic and located on the outside center of the plastic. I believe this was original from 69 to 72.20241015_225530.jpg

That is stainless I beleive- the trick is going to be polish the stainless then get the polish off the black vinyl
        Good luck

Yes, it's stainless steel. What do you mean it's detached? Is a clear coat peeling off? Or does a section just look different?

          Nice feet.
