      I bought some previously.
The only downside of the site is that they don’t combine shipping if you order multiples.

The current 58-60 & 1965 Technical Information Manual says the oil filter housing should be "semi-gloss"

Re: oil filter housing silk screening

Guys, I have been watching this thread closely and decided to share with you what I have developed as another option for renewing your oil canisters silkscreen. I have been in the testing stages of my product (my local Corvette buddies are my test dummies) for a while and believe it’s ready for more exposure. I don’t know what the rules are about selling items on the Tech Board, so I will stay with sharing my findings and results and let interest from the members drive how I proceed or not.

What you see in my photos is not a decal nor is it a silkscreen. It is an application known as ink transfer and is a very proven process across a lot of different industries. The transfer graphic I developed is accurate in font and dimensions and the application is straight forward. There can be some minor challenges in the application, but all of these systems seem to have a bit of trial and error. I quickly restored a canister I had in order to test my applique’ and this is the result. I have found a video that clearly demonstrates how to apply the transfers to any surface. Once I launch the sale of the product I will provide the link to the video with each shipment. For those who read my previous instructions, I found an easier and more effective way to apply via this video so I deleted my initial instructions.

If you are interested in giving this method a try, I do have a few that I can offer at a very discounted rate during my trial. Email me and I will try to answer any questions you may have. Thanks for your interest.

Here is another canister that was done by one of my Corvette buddies. He did a nice job of restoring the canister and is happy with the outcome of the transfer. He did struggle with it a bit, but stuck with it and produced a great outcome.

                          Congrats Garry, very innovative!

How does it hold up in when the ink transfer gets wet?

Hi Gary, great question and one of many expected. This ink is used very often on glassware, plastics and other materials that are considered dishwasher safe. I have also tested motor oil on it and no impact. Would it hold up to gasoline or other heavy cleaners such as lacquer thinner, Xylene, etc. probably not. I doubt if any of the stencil inks would hold up under those fluids as well. Thanks for your question. Happy Holidays!

What is the price of your transfer?

The finish is semi-gloss. See enclosed pictures of a NOS one I have. Also note, the bolt is unpainted.
