    Trivia question for 1970: Which way should the shoulder belt escutcheon for the seat backs be oriented?


    A: With the canted end of its opening towards the center of the seat:

    B: With the canted end of its opening towards the outer edge of the seat:

    I took lots of photos before disassembly except for the one I needed. Thanks again for your help with this seemingly never ending project.

    My very original 71 has both seats having the canted to the left (driver side)

        Yes sir, Both of my original seats(and covers) have the "B" configuration.

            Mark, My apology. The canted edge would be to the left (inward for the pass. seat) and outward (to to left) for the Dr. side seat. Sorry for the confusion.
