I have an early production 1964 (#238) and am in the process of reassembly after many years. I find that the Turn Signal Housing on my 64 is a 63 housing. I figured this out by looking at an old Paragon catalog - since I have a 64 AIM, there is nothing in there to resolve my issue. There is a recess on the outside of the housing and the Paragon catalog shows that a screw goes through the housing to hold a Turn Signal Housing lock wedge. The rest of the parts in the column, etc. appear to be 64 parts. So, I am wondering if I can just ignore this item, or if someone can explain the purpose and maybe have a picture of what that wedge looks like. Thanks for any help.

Re: 1963 Turn Signal Housing
Here's a post from John Hinckley (RIP) when someone on another forum asked what the hole in his '65 turn signal housing was for.
"It isn't used for anything - it's a holdover from the '63 housing mold, when the screw that went there secured the '63-only "wedge" that attached the die-cast housing radially to the steel tube mast jacket."
