I have a new dash pad where I've installed the speaker and grill and I failed to install the mirror. I think I did so because I didn't want to risk harming the mirror by everything else going on at the time. Now I want to install the mirror and am unsure of how to mark the location of the mounting studs and to install the mount. I think I may have gotten the sequence wrong here. I'm guessing I'll have to remove the speaker and grill and go at it from underneath and through the speaker hole?? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: 1961 interior mirror install
You are pretty much correct. You might want to remove the radio because that will assist in access to the holes on the underside. I would start with that and then check on the room you have. If not enough, then the speaker and grille.- Top

Re: 1961 interior mirror install
Thanks Mike. I started by taking the speaker grill and speaker loose because I figured it was easier to move the speaker and grill than the radio and from there I was able to get my hand up in there and feel the mirror mounting holes. Now I just have to muster the guts to pick the right hole(s) and pierce my new dash pad.- Top
