1953 to 1967 Corvette Specifications Guide Mailed to Me Erroneously

    Greetings NCRS Bookstore Personnel--

I attempted to send the following message to the NCRS bookstore for a product that was mailed to me mistakenly. The email was returned to me as best as I can understand because I utilized yahoo.com to send it. Anyway, maybe one of the many computer wizards can forward my message to the bookstore personnel. In the meantime, I left a voice mail on the intended recipients business phone; and will mail the book on Monday, 19 August 2024 to the "new" member. What a PITA.

Received in mail via USPS "1953 to 1967 Corvette Specifications Guide". Appears subject reference book should have been sent to:

    Rob,

    Sorry for the inconvenience.

Please post the returned message text, so the reason for the return can be analyzed as to why it was returned.

      Hi Gary--

Thank you very much for the expeditious response!! The subject document was not returned; it was ordered by a new member who joined the NCRS, and was mistakenly sent to me. The "new" member apparently joined 07-31-2024, and paid for the booklet with a credit card. I renewed my membership the same day, 31 July 2024, and paid with a credit card. I do not know if this was a "one-time" occurrence, or is indicative of a procedural or process problem. As my daughter is fond of saying, "Not my monkey; not my circus." Please have a nice day/weekend!

          Hey Rob,
Looks like I made a mistake sending you a spec guide. Thanks for letting me know about it.
I will send Jason a spec guide on Monday.

Keep it and enjoy reading it.

            Hi Dave--

Thanks for your very kind email, as well as the "offer" to keep the Corvette Specifications Guide that I received. However, I already told Jason that I would mail the one I received to him on Monday, and I intend to follow through with my promise. Besides, I don't believe in "benefiting from some person's mistake." Please have a great day!
Best Regards to all that helped me with this issue!!

              Rob,

Looks like Google aka gmail bounced the Yahoo sent emails for missing email header "DMARC" information. DMARC information authenticates an email as being sent from the actual email sender as valid email and not SPAM.

ISP's and email providers take DMARC validation seriously to help stop SPAM/Phishing emails. 95% of emails sent everyday are SPAM/Phishing emails.

              Thanks for letting us know.
