1973 350 Cowl Induction Air Cleaner

Researching if a 1973 350 Cowl Induction Air Cleaner air filter lid is the same size as a standard 350 73 air cleaner lid?

    Fred,

By "non 350" I assume you mean 454. The small block and big block lids are the same size since they use the same filter (A329C). I'm not sure if they are identical or the same PN.

BTW, it's not obvious but the air cleaner base and its ring are different for small block and big block. See https://www.forums.ncrs.org/showthre...54-air-cleaner

And as you know this system is known as cowl induction.

The 73/74 TIMJG spent extensive discussions to illustrate and describe the difference between the L48/L82 and the LS4 cowl induction air cleaner.

      Air Cleaner Base & Lid

All 1973-74 engines feature a gloss black dual-snorkel air-cleaner base and a gloss black lid without decals or markings. A black rubber seal and black metal flange seal the cold-air-induction ducting to the hood. In the L48/L82, this flange offset is concentric, straight up and gloss black. In the LS4, this flange has an elliptical offset to the rear and is gloss black.

Mark, thank you for your reply. My apologies for the poorly worded post. I should never try to type anything with my poor eye sight on my phone.

I'm helping a widow of a friend of mine sell some things from his shop. (corrected post) Researching if a 1973 350 Cowl Induction Air Cleaner air filter lid is the same size as a standard 350 73 air cleaner lid?

Again thanks for the information, Fred

What do you mean "standard 350 73 air cleaner lid"? All '73 Corvette engines featured cowl induction as standard equipment.

My apologies again, I'm a 72 LT1 guy and am a virgin with 73's. I thought cowl induction was an option in 73.
