1964 Lower Skirt Seals

Installing Lower Skirt seals on my 64 non A/C. Sec. 11-13, Sheet A2.00 in the AIM show the seal. My after-market seals are 1 5/8" by 10". Wondering if the staples are put in the middle (roughly 13/16", or if there is less seal above the staple than below. Could someone tell me how much of the seal is above the staple?

Here is an original from a Mar64 car. Know there has been some good information on how to install the replacements, NOT using stainless steel staples. Pay attention to the thickness of these, earlier one's were too thin - think most vendors have now changed. Also note there should be NO paint under these, they were installed before engine bay blackout.
