    Digital Torque Wrench

It's time to update from my 40 year old Craftsman click torque wrench to a modern digital with beep notification. I have seen some in the $60 to $75 price range that look OK for my use.. Any recommendations?

Having used both, I still prefer the Click type better. Cheaper and more exact. The digital ones beep and nothing “stops” you like a click would.

I purchased a Quinn brand digital torque wrench from Harbor Freight last year in their 1/2-in size as I needed the 250 ft-lb capacity when rebuilding my truck engine. I had zero issues, and still use it.
However, I still reach for a click one first.

      Patrick,
Thanks for the input. I just don't trust the one I have any more. I was torqing the wheel bearings on my 51 Chevy and the shop manual indicated 33 ft. lbs. and when I did it with the old wrench, the bearings seemed way too tight.

The Icon brand from HF is actually very good.

Alternately I've purchased the eTORK brand on Amazon. It's made by the company that used to make the Craftsman ones. I find it very easy to use.
My old Craftsman's have given up the ghost, and you can buy a new one for the price of having them rebuilt, so that's what I did.
