It appears that someone had tried to clean the HUD lens in my C-6. It appears that some type of cleaner/clemical has fogged up the projection lens. I tried a small area with some Invisible glass cleaner, but it appears its beyond that stage. I've tired the dealer and they did come up with a part #15934351, but it's been discontinued and it would be 3 hours labor to install another one if you can find one from a salvaged car. How difficult is it to change the lens and can it be refurbished with some headlight restoration stuff.

Pat, there are many used on eBay. All about $175.00. Also saw a new one at a non-GM parts house. Now I can't find the link.
They are out there..

Have you tried plastic polish/scratch remover? At this point appears you have nothing to lose. Link below
Iโd start with the Fine Scratch Remover.
Used this stuff before on my motorcycle windshields.
