Replacement Power Window Regulators for 1967 Corvette

I am in the process of restoring the power window option to my 1967 Corvette convertible. I have accumulated all the necessary parts but I am not satisfied with the power window regulators ( sloppy scissor action) which came in a kit I purchased from a private seller in the Driveline about 5 years ago.
I want to replace these regulators before going forward with the task. Used GM regulators for sale on line seem to be pricey and would probably have to be sent out for rebuilding. Has anyone had experience with after market manufacturers of regulators and would you recommend any one source in particular ? I'm certain that the after market regulators advertised by Zip, Corvette Central, etc, all come from the same manufacturer, but I'm hoping someone has a good experience with them and can recommend them.
    Thank you.

Henry - So, were the regulators you got in that kit aftermarket or used original GM regulators? I've added PW to my 65 Coupe but it was so long ago, maybe very early 1990s, that the parts I got were out of another Midyear and at that time, were still serviceable and other than the typical
gummed up rollers, were in good shape and still in the car today. The only aftermarket kit I bought was from Auto City Glass and that kit was for my 61 Vette. They worked fine and you can see from the pics, the motors are a bit different from the early 60's/70's/80s GM motors but I didn't have the problem like others had where the complaint was that the 'new' motors were much faster than the old GM versions.
No doubt you're looking at aftermarket because your original PW regulators are too far gone and I don't think anyone offers a kit to refurbish the original regulators. Anyway, the pics I'm attaching are from the early solid axle kit sold by Auto City Glass.DSCN3148.jpgDSCN3150.jpg

Hi Mike, thanks for the prompt reply and info. The car came from the factory with power windows. Somewhere along the line in its history, before I purchased it 5 years ago, someone replaced the power windows with manual ones. The regulators that come in the kit I purchased are after market and although they appear unused, there's a lot of play in what I call the scissor mechanism, that is, the arms with the rollers, have a lot of side to side movement at the point where they are joined together with a rivet. I'm trying to replace them with after market ones but don't want to run into the same problem so I was hoping some member has gotten replacement aftermarket regulators from a company and that achieved satisfactory results with them.
