I have a 1966 equipped with factory a/c. Been trying to get a/c system back in working order. I am located in Michigan. Does anyone know of anyone that will service and troubleshoot these systems. I have searched in my area and found no one that will work on it. I have R12 and will travel for a knowledgeable person to get this back up working. Does anybody know Larry Mulders new phone number he reached out in 2022 but phone number I have is no longer in service.

Re: 1966 A/C issues
Tim,
What's wrong with the system? Depending on the problem, a competent local AC tech may be able to take care of you. Checking pressures, locating leaks, replacing seals, and even replacing components should all be within their comfort zone, especially if you supply the R12.
A shop may be concerned about parts availability and quality. They may be reluctant to guarantee the work if it involves using NOS or rebuilt components of unknown quality. So you may need to find out of town specialists to source or restore components (like POA valves and compressors) and assume some risk that it all works..Mark Edmondson

Tim:
Recently sold house in Louisiana and moved to Bowling Green Kentucky to be closer to family. Both Corvettes were sold. Essentially all my ac and garage tools and reference library was given to Louisiana friends. Trying to get moved into new quarters.
However, I will give you a call in next few days to see if we can get your system working again.
