early 65 trip odometer cable, brass or aluminum?

Does anyone have an early 65 with the original trip odometer cable. I have an A O Smith body 65 here 229_ , built after the strike in October 1964. It has an aluminum long hex end above the reset knob which is considered 63,64. The 65 J G manual says they were brass in 65 but I wonder if A O Smith and maybe St. Louis were using up the aluminum early ones.
Just to be more clear, the small lock nut next to the reset knob is aluminum on all 63-67. I'm asking about the part above it on the bracket.
This cluster and cable appears untouched but if other 65s built where when this one have the brass end, I'll consider it has been changed. Thanks Mark

Mark, after further research you will find that AO Smith built body's for GM. All Corvettes were assembled at the St. Louis Plant before moving to Bowling Green Much later. I think those brass reset cables were used much later than C2's. More input from owners would help!

Thanks Tim, that helps very much. Looks like a tele bracket. A few more earlier cars would be helpful also. Yes Ray your correct. After checking John Hinckley's midyear assembly process, yes the clusters and cables were all installed at St. Louis. Thank You

You are correct, it is a tele wheel car.
