Re: 65/66 Tele Turn signal Switch
kevin,
steve chaney ..nice to talk with you guys. the harness is different than a non tele column. i suspect it's the wire length so the switch housing can move fore and aft. if you do wind up buying a new harness it will be easy to install. Zip sells a nice piece of plastic conduit that feeds through the bottom of the switch housing. ytube has some great vids on how to extract the wires from the gang plug and then reinstall once you have fed them down along the underside of the column. label the wire colors on the plug... reinstall and you'll be good to go..- Top

Re: 65/66 Tele Turn signal Switch
Thank you! It appears that Zip is out of stock according to the web site. I'll reach out to them later today. Wondering if it's safe to assume that there's but only one manufacturer, supplying the vendors with the same product? I might open up the column to inspect the switch and related. I really wish I could repair vs replace.....
Luck happened to be on my side! I pulled off the drivers side console panel to find the flasher was the culprit. After removing and simply cleaning the prongs, I was able to get the turn signals to operate properly! The turn signal arm is still sloppy but does engage and cancel!
Back to the road we go!- Top
