    C2 Cloudy Gauges

It looks like the inside of all my instrument gauges have gotten cloudy. Any suggestions on clearing it up? We have had a ton of humidity here in the Texas Hill Country.

I don't want to have to take the whole dash apart.

If you want to clean the inside of the gauge glass, you have no choice but to remove the gauge cluster. It isn't that hard. Drop the steering column, remove the screws around the perimeter, install some longer 3-4 inch threaded rod in place of the screws and slide the cluster back on the rods. Reach behind the cluster to disconnect the various wires and you are ready to take it out. There are photos elsewhere on this board that can guide you for proper reinstallation of the various wires. Take lots of photos as you dissemble the cluster so you have a good reference for reassembly. Good luck.

You should order a gauges cluster gasket kit as well.

Ken you did not mention your year, 63 has plastic lenses, after 63 their glass lenses. There are plastic cleaners made like meguai’s plastic restorer.
