    3844390 forward wiring harness clips

Seeing these advertised as correct for my 69 but can't find anything about them in the AIM...and no luck in the Parts Catalog. My car was butchered so hard to tell anything from that. Any sense if these are correct?
    Thanks,
    Keith

I took a look at my car and it's a little complicated but I figured it out. In it's distant past with a previous owner it was in a frontal accident...so the forward harness was just kind of laying there across the front. I believe it is original harness. Turns out there are no clips shown in the AIM because there is some sort of clip taped x4 tapes into the harness such that only the prongs stick out. I wonder if the harnesses from Electric Limited for a 69 are made that way. TIM&JG does not have the details. So apparently 69s did not have these clips..but if replacement harnesses are not made as originals with integral clips...then the clips would be needed

Just because an item is not mentioned i aa TIM&JG does not mean it wasn't present. It is impossible to mention every item used to build a Corvette in the number of pages that TIM&JG are restricted to.

Keith is referring to the AIM, not the TIM&JG. The clips (with part numbers) should be shown in the AIM unless they were part of an assembly.

Took some pix from my car. These clips wired into the harness look like they each might be missing one "wing" that probably snapped off. Also talked to Mike at Lectric Limited. He could not answer my specific application question but was familiar with the "taped in" clip concept and said their harnesses replicate where appropriate. He said this taped in type of clip is known as a "rosebud" clip.

              Gary,
Not sure about the existing clips but that might be correct. what those arrows point to look more like T-straps but that doesn't necessarily mean anything.

Anyone have a survivor 1969 who could check attachment of forward harness to header bar and maybe send a pic....for us and posterity?

              Thanks,
              Keith

Thanks Joe. Apparently I misread Keith's post

This part number does not appear to be in the 68 AIM.
