differential mounting bracket through bolts installation

Hello to all. I have replaced the two differential cushions (UPC 4 sheet A4 Item 9 & 10) on my 72 and the front hole in the mounting bracket (UPC 4 sheet A6 item 8) will not line up with the holes in the differential to allow the forward most through bolt (UPC 4 sheet A6 item 7) to go through it. The original cushions were beyond useful and are quite flat. Is there a technique to raising the nose of the bracket to allow through bolt to go through? If I put a small jack on the nose of the bracket it does not compress the cushion enough to insert the forward bolt.

Any ideas? Searching here has lots of advice on the crossmember cushions but I am not seeing anything on the front bracket.

Thank you Gary. The odd thing is that my search results were sparse even though I thought I had adequately used the correct terms. Oh well, my Google foo seems to be slipping
