In revisiting some older posts, I am considering ordering a DeWitt radiator to replace the GM OTC unit I purchased in 1985 that has a date code of 2K and 16CT stamping (it actuall has the clamping marks like the original). In the older posts, there is disagreement on whether there should be a 16CT stamp present with most saying there should not be one. I have the original radiator dated 63C with no indication of a 16CT stamp. (I wish I could remove the Harrison label and put on the DeWitt replacement as it is in mint condition.) I do not see any mention of a 16CT stamp in the JM.
1) Thoughts on the 16CT stamp?
2) Any hacks on removing the Harrison label?
3) Special considerations when ordering the DeWitt replacement (in addition to requesting the clamping marks)?
4) Point deducts for DeWitt replacement vs the one I have now? (I'm guessing deducts for the one I have now will be the date code, one for the 1 1/2-Inch "cushion Mount" instead of the 2-Inch, and one for the Harrison foil design).
Thanks in advance.
