    '67 L88 Yellow/Black sells...

    Sold ~ 30 seconds after the reserve came off at $1,625,000
    Hammered at $1,650,000

    Mecum had estimated $2.2 to $2.6 million

      Gary,

      I believe so, but I can't remember what it sold for last.

      All I know is the pre-sale estimates are very high and what owners are apparently willing to take (part with) are much lower.

      I was more impressed with the Lynndale/Black '67 that later sold for $180,000.
      Much more drivable car...
      to each his own, eh ?

          to be sure, I have never wanted or understood the alure of '67 L88s...

          that being said, they are touted as very valuable...

          maybe not so in today's market ?

                That one was a bit tainted, having been rebodied, and built up with the engine, tags and documentation of a destroyed L-88.
