Corvette Title Hijacked

Had a fellow chapter member call and ask for help. NC would not allow him to register his C2 this year for the first time in 20 + years as the title was transferred to CA. He has the title in hand. Has anyone else heard of anyone having a title hijacked? If so do you have any advise as to how to correct it ??

Go to local PD and report theft by fraud.

Has the member checked with California DMV to make sure it wasn't a DMV clerk fat finger and typed the wrong VIN?

Hey, Jimmy. The NCDMV (it's in the NCDOT, ncdot.gov) has an investigative unit, the License and Theft Bureau. There's a portal on the website to report title fraud.
