Anyone out there can tell me if there is an electronic distributor which will fit under the radio shielding on a 64?

Which one?? There are small cap electronic distributors that will fit. The stock distributor with a Breakerless SE ignition module is, essentially, an electronic ignition and invisible to the outside.

Ron,

Install a Petronix kit in your stock distributor. I ran one for over 20 yeas in my '64.

Or save the money and work, and just keep the points and condenser.

Electronic ignition doesn't improve performance much, if at all, and is prone to sudden failure.
