    C1 Door Hinge Tension Spring

I am needing to change 1 of the door hinge tension springs and I am looking for any advice/tips/tricks. The car isn't painted or anything yet but the doors are pretty well aligned.

Anyone have any tricks they use when taking off the doors to keep any alignment issues to a minimum when reinstalling the doors?

Also, what is the process for riveting the tension spring back to the door?

I also plan on replacing the hinge pins and bushings while I am at it.

    Thanks in advance.

Not sure if you ever got an answer but I believe I used a rivet squeezer. I bought a used TATCO aerospace rivet squeezer on eBay with a deep reach and it's handled a lot of things like this, that I did not use an air hammer on. I also have a smaller MMI Aero Rivet-II Tool you can get from the corvette vendors, but I've relied more on the TATCO. It takes some muscle to squeeze the rivet even with the long handles.
