58 Rear Bumper Bracket Question

In my pile of 58 parts i have the following bumper bracket:

I have seen other posts mention that this is the correct bumper bracket for the 58.

Did the 58 have a different bumper bracket for the early vs late cars? The AIM I have shows what looks to be the bumper bracket I have, the first one above.

Can anyone help me understand what is correct?

The last picture is correct for 58 as far as I know up until July 58. Looks like there was a production change to the 59/60 brackets on 7-29-58 according to Note 5 of the Revision Record on Sect.14 Sheet 3 of the AIM.

How would I tell when my 58 was produced to know which bracket my car should have.

The VIN is J58S105256.

I know there were changes made to the 58 and I believe I have what is commonly referred to as a late 58. The hood support is on the driver's side and not the passenger side.

I don't see how the second bracket would work on my 58.

Can anyone tell me whether I should be using the first or second rear bumper brackets pictured above. I think I should be using the first but now I am questioning myself.

I just used to c1registry.com car birthday tool and it came back saying my car's approximate birthday is March 15, 1958

My 58 is #8512 and was built in July as I recall. The rear bumpers were not installed when I got it and no brackets came with it so I guess I have the same problem. I wasn't able to find the 58 brackets so I bought the 59-60 brackets and it looks like they may be correct for my July built car.
