    Painting original 64 radiator

Finally back on this 64 restore. I have my 63J Harrison radiator out and cleaned pressure tested at local shop (all good) so repainting. They did the fins with special radiator paint but I plan to paint top and bottom with Quanta semi gloss. My question is, should I use a primer or just go straight to the existing surface? Don't think i want to do any sanding, or should I?

I usually just paint the fresh radiator with Eastwood Radiator paint.
Priming just adds layers that you don’t need.
