    1967 marina blue

    Does anyone have a formula number for base clear for marina blue . I'm looking for a formula that " looks like " the correct shade of blue with the correct ( or closest to ) metalic flake
    thanks for any help

          IF you are having the car judged I would suggest sending sprayout samples to the National Paint Judges and asking for their input, it is a heck of a lot easier than guessing and will cause you much less stress if you are shooting for a score >97%.

          Mixed from a Published Formula, even if the base color were correct it is almost guaranteed to have too much flake.

          -This is just my opinion, however it seems the paint judges would much prefer to consult with members PRIOR to their car being painted, VS dealing with an upset member who missed a bunch of points due to paint.

            I know that Tom Ames has retired, but it might help if you contact him. He sent me the formula he used for Marina Blue. That is where I would start. I'll see if I can dig it up.
