It what year were the vin tags first attached to the Corvettes with star rivets?

Star rivets? Never heard of those.. Do you mean Rosette rivets? 1965. A few months into production.

Thanks, Don. Yes, I am referring to the rosettes. I have a 1965, but I thought the rosettes were used before that. I can always find the answers I'm looking for on this page.

As an aside, 1963 and 1964 Corvettes had their VIN tags welded in place.

On page 9 of the 7th edition 1965, "Mid-Feb." around 10,000 VIN (vehicle identification number). TIM&JG "Verification" section.
