About a month or so ago I posted some questions about problems I was having with the carb on my 66 327/350. Good news is all good now. Root cause was a bad metering block. Not sure what is wrong with it but replacing it with one from a known good carb fixed the flooding over rich condition. I wish I had this article in the LAST issue. :-)
The known good carb is mine also, and ran fine on the car but was set up for the (correct) divorced choke, but my intake manifold is not correct, so I’ve always had an electric choke. It was easier to move the metering block than deal with the choke mechanism.
