78 Evaporator case drain boot position

Is this boot positioned in a certain way? Parallel with firewall? Right angle to firewall or was just put on in any ol' way?

I looked but can't get to the bottom due to the shields under there. If that is the dehydrator to the left, then it tells me its straight down.

These are aligned just as carefully as bolt heads during assembly.
