Re: Year of the Z
Bruce, While I was researching the Alan Green 66 Corvette Racer Larry Webb, Gary Gove (Driver) and Bud Weiser (Mechanic) were all a great help with information and stories. I was shocked how great all their memories were 50 Years later! All were wonderful people and more than happy to spend hours on the phone with me.- Top

Re: Year of the Z
Joe - Larry is still giving tutorial classes on F/I, distributors, tune-up tips , etc at local NW NCRS chapter events. Started working at Alan Green in '57 and owned first F/I '57 sent west to race at SIR. As you mentioned he seems to have total recall and has a treasure trove of early Corvette racing history. Truly one of the last remaining true historians.............blessed to know him. Bruce- Top

Re: Year of the Z
Here is a picture of a smiling Larry Webb next to a 1963 fuelie coupe he ordered as a demo for Jerry Grant, Allan Green race car driver, as a daily driver. It was one of three 1963 Corvette coupes that Alan Green supplied to Jerry Grant to daily drive that year. Larry ordered it his way, fuel injection, 4 speed, 4:56 posi, no radio, power metallic brakes. Larry reminded me in late 1962 there were not any freeways in the Seattle area so 4:56s were ok.Attached FilesLast edited by Michael V.; January 7, 2024, 05:23 PM.- Top
