I am collecting both fuel and oil drops under my 60' 283 FI and now the clutch chatters and wants to bunk for about the first 15 minutes as the engine and clutch warm up. It acts like some liquid is leaking on the clutch plate causing it to buck until it burns off, once the clutch has warmed up all is good until I check under the car to again see 110 octane leaded fuel and oil on the floor. The oil appears to be coming from the front seal and the fuel covers about 2 sq ft at the front of the engine. Is it common for fuel and/or oil to molest the clutch plate?
What's leaking on my clutch assembly?

Re: What's leaking on my clutch assembly?
Richard, Do NOT start the engine....
Disconnect your battery just in case, so you don't start it inadvertantly.
You have a serious problem. But it could be simple. Either a bad fuel pump or a defective anti-siphon check valve in the FI unit.
Check your oil dipstick level and if it's over filled and/or fuel odor you need to determine why. Pull all of your spark plugs and see if they're wet with fuel. If fuel is in the oil it will dilute the oil and easily will weep out rear main and front crank seals.
Also check around the weep hole in your engine fuel pump for traces of fuel. Let us know what you find. Do you have the add-on FI anti-siphon solenoid valve? If so I've not heard of them failing but one never knows. If it did, the internal unit valve would need to be bad too.
My gut tells me you have a leaky engine fuel pump diaphragm.

My Vette does have the anti-siphon device and I have a "vintage" mechanic scheduled for next Wed. morning to take a look, imagine a mechanic that makes house calls.- Top
