'63 Convt. Carter AFB 3461s- Which Air Horn is Correct?

Just in the process of sorting out the carburetor for my '63 convt. with 340hp. In looking at several Carter AFB 3461s', there seems to be two different Air Horns with the "1518" casting. The picture below points to some of the minor differences.

Which top is correct or is either one considered correct? Car is a late December build if that matters. Just checking Google images for the 3461s carb, you'll see both Air Horns present.

Thanks in advance for any responses. --Doug

It might help sort things out if you list the date code on each of the carbs. My F3 carb has the large 1518 located in the area shown in the left side image.

The one on the left is stamped "AL2" with the large casting. The one on the right with the small casting is stamped "CD3". I know there was a recent discussion here on the forum as to the decoding of these dates. Also, there's really no telling if these carbs are as orignally configured or pieced together from various parts over the years. Just curiuous if there's a known reason as to why there was two different air horns with the same stamping.
