NCRS Oldtimers -- early literature question

    February 1975 mailing (4).jpgFebruary 1975 mailing (3).jpg
In the Restorer, Vo. 26:2, Dave Strickland did an article on early Restorer inserts (prior to the advent of the Driveline.) In 35:1, Arland Dower did one on early meet announcements.
In going through my collection, I found a mailing that didn't fit either category. Dated February 7, 1975, it includes a letter to the membership, an IREC form, and a 1975 membership roster. I have included pictures of those.
My question: are there others, pre-1978, that have also fallen through the cracks? Or did I just miss this one in reading the articles?

    Mike,
I’m away for the holiday but I will check my notes next week when I return. At first look my article was about Restorer inserts. What you have posted is a seperte mailing to the membership and not something included in the Restorer magazine. I know I have the 75 membership roster so some digging will be needed on my end. In any event it’s a very neat piece and prt of the NCRS historical database.

I wish I had joined NCRS in the 70's. I started driving a 1969 Corvette in 1976 but had no idea NCRS existed.

My dad joined in I think 1974 or 1975. He took me to a judging meet that was held at a Holiday Inn in St. Louis in the fall of I think 1975, see attached picture. We toured the assembly plant also, I have the pictures of the tour somewhere. I was eleven years old at the time. A great memory with dad.

          Mike,

IIRC when Dave and Arland did their research, they found some of the inserts were printed on different colored paper. Amgwert used whatever color paper he had.

Good find on the 1975 mailing.

Nice picture of an early meet! What struck me was the apparent age of the attendees (and the Mercury!)

Those guys are us today. They appear to be 25-35 years old. 45 year later, what are we...mostly 70-80 year olds.

What strikes me is that the meet is being held outdoors and is well attended.

and all the cars are stiff axle relics.. The club hadn't yet been diluted by disc brake floppy axle cars.

Me too, I bought my '70 Corvette in 1977, and traded it in on a new '81 and kept it 8 years and never heard of NCRS in the Houston area where I was. The Mustang and Shelby clubs (MCA and SAAC) were big there, so went that way for many years.
