Mike, Thanks so much for this. Mystery solved! So it's a Pal nut after all, with a enlarged flange. The dum-dum was likely included on the new ones and the reason the AIM calls it a "assy". Great info.

Thanks Mike. That looks exactly like what I removed from the uppermost accessible retainer.

There is a LOT of DumDum hold in the other ones. I can see why.

I found a couple of the flanged nuts in my never to thrown away rust bucket of nuts, screws, etc. After cleaning the dum dum the inside is definitely silver cad. Ed

So the 3780673 Pal-Nut "dum-dum" on the inside, has been identified discovered by a fellow member/friend/research specialist, and it shows "w/sealer". Note it doesn't specify finish as SS like the other earlier document I posted, likely a typo on that one.
