Calculating Build Dates

I recently decoded the Body ID Plate and VIN Plate for one of our members. The car is a 1966 coupe built in February, 1966. I was stumped on one of the information lines on the Body ID Plate. The "BODY" line had the characters A-2477. I know that the "A" indicates A.O. Smith. Can someone tell me what the "2477" represents? Thanks in advance.

It's either the 2,477 coupe or convertible from A.O. Smith.

I guess I never thought about it before... So that means that there were two bodies with the same A-2477; and by extension, two bodies with S-2477. Yes?
