    FP headmark body mount bolts

These bolts have the right characteristics for C2 body mount bolts at body mounts #1, #3, and #4. Has anyone seen the FP headmark before? If so, for which year(s)?

Ironically I just found some too. Longer. Not sure what these bolted up, maybe steering box to frame?

EIther way, if anyone needs them shoot me a PM and you can have them for Shipping cost only.

PS Now if they were those elusive FP Tripower Air Cleaner Base Bolts, I'd be asking $1000 for all 3 + the Shipping!

          Rich,
Very cool find. I'd be interested in knowing where they go, as well. The steering box to frame bolts were Carriage head bolts as seen below.

Leif. Yes, but maybe different bolts on the later C3's?

                  Rich,
Pretty sure the carriage bolts carried all the way through '82 for the steering box to frame. I've often heard the reason behind the design was so that the outer tire edge could catch the head of a standard bolt on some harsh left hand turns...could be urban legend.

                    Leif,

Another advantage of the carriage bolt is that the square recess in the frame hole captures the square shoulder under the head of the carriage bolt, hence no need to have a wrench on the outboard end to hold it while tightening the nut.

I'm still curious about my 3 FP bolts. Anyone have their 3 Carriage bolts handy to measure length to compare to mine?
