Re: New 1961 Corvette in the dealer showroom
Cool photo Ralph. Remember when dealers placed CARS in the showroom instead of tables and chairs?
Neat to also see the '61 Impala (I think it's an Impala because of the trim but I'm no expert) and '60 Belair/Biscayne wagon. Can't make out the car behind the wagon...
Consider moving this to the "Old Photos" sticky thread.Mark Edmondson

Well..... hmmmm...... I agree that does look like Impala trim, but it's got Bel Air poverty hubcaps. I'm purdy sure that if you paid for Impala trim, you got full wheel covers.- Top

Impala trim begins the white insert about midway of the door and continues to the rear. Bel Air trim has the white insert extending forward nearly the length of the fender.
That's a Bel Air in the showroom.- Top

Good eye! After Googling this, I see what you mean. And it's apparently not a Biscayne because those didn't have any side trim. It's interesting that many Chevrolet models had more than one exterior trim level, but not Corvette.Mark Edmondson
