    Oil Pressure gauge replacement

Opinion - had a leaky oil pressure gauge on my 67 L68. Car was top flighted by the previous owner in May of 2023. The leak was internal and not from the nut and eventually would drip onto the floor mat.

2 pictures. The one with the whiter looking numbers is the one that was leaking ad my guess is that it was original or maybe replace at some point. The one with the greenish numbers is a "restored" gauge. I know that the green eventually fades.

There is an obvious difference between the lettering with the one being replaced having crisper numbers and scale. The replacement has a rough scale and the numbers are not, in my opinion, are not very clear.

Anyone that that pulled a cluster before knows its a pain so no point in installing a gauge with one that isn't even close.

    Opinions?

      Re: Oil Pressure gauge replacement

I have to find some tiny rivets and re-stake them, or send the gauge to a reputable restorer. Another project.

      thanks for the reply.
