1973 Corvette Shipping Cost. Window sticker only.

My '73 was shipped from St. Louis to Jacksonville FL in Aug of 1973. GM dealer number 25-112, Zip Code 32211. I have all the first owner's packet of documnets and the dealers GM new car inspection report. I don't have the window sticker. In putting together a reproduction window sticker, the one item I don't know is, "freight cost for delivery." That was typically showned on the window sticker. My estimat is $179 from St Louis to Jacsonville, Florida. Does that sound resonable? Is there a NCRA record on typical cost of freight from St. Louis to each state for C3 Corvettes, by model year?

George that's an interesting question. Robert's reply that your estimate is probably acurate sounds good; maybe a little high. Looking at my 1970 window sticker and the costs on Robert's then checking the mileage from the plant shows this:
      St. Louis to
      Salem, IL 73mi $21.90
      Jacksonville, FL 900mi $167.
      Sonoma, CA 2038mi $241.
At least the shipping charges back then were fair based on actual delivery cost vs today's socialist method where everyone pays the same regardless of delivery location.

Thank you Robert, Leonard. Good feedback on possible shipping cost. I'll go with the $167.
Interesting that there are no similar Theads regarding this question. There is one under similar Theads that is asking where can you buy a reproduction sticker and what info do you need. A couple replies; dealer name, address, order number, and dealer code. Nothing about delivery or shipping cost. One member indicated you need to provide the dealer's GM order number. That consists of 3 letters and 3 numbers., i.e., SHD673 or DEL950. One of the original dealer document I have is the, "New Car Inspection form GSD99 Rev 4/72." That form shows an order stock number 14195 and a Repair Order No. 14378. Appears I don't have the dealer order number? What does the window sticlker order number on your cars look like? i'm thinking I will use the dealer stock number. No way I can trace the order number back.

I'll never get it exact, so I'll be off by +/- $10-30 dollars. I will go with $167. That's in the ballpark. My 73 was delivered to the dealier in Jacksonville a week or so before 8/2/1973. The new car inspection service report has that date. It was a dealer ordered car and sat on the showroom floor for about a month. Warranty book showes it was delivered to the original owner 9/18/73. What is interesting about your data are the dealer order numbers. I assume they are assigned by GM. I can't make any sense out of them. What does FGE and IAA stand for? I could pick 3 letters and 3 numbers and no one would know the diffferce. I don't believe GM has any records of my Vin number being manufactured or sold.

Just saw you 1973 Vette post; I am original owner of a 73 coupe, the freight charge was $60 0n window sticker delivery date 3/24/73 to Joe Jacobs Chevrolet Co. in Willmette Illinois. The tank Sheet shows Routing via Trkway St.
