Yes they earn 1 point if you stay for all of the school we can monitor how long you stay.

Hi Rick,

I went back to see what Gary posted re "the rule by Dave". Has Dave extended the rule allowing virtual (online) schools beyond 12/31/22?

Covid may have been the genesis of online schools within NCRS but 'remote learning' is mainstay in the business and professional communities and clearly a major portion of training for all areas of endeavor. This trend was established long before Covid. Certainly Covid expanded the use of online schools/remote learning. Don't get me wrong. I prefer in-person schooling/meetings where the opportunity to interact with others exists and, I believe, should remain the principal mode of NCRS training...at least for now. And I've noted other posters on this thread making a case for remote schools during the winter months. I can relate...much of my time is spent at my place in the Green Mts of Vermont where winter travel can be challenging with frequent cancellations, etc.

So, if the use of remote schools beyond 12/31/22 needs Dave Brigham/NCRS approval, I hope he/they give it and embrace what is a major trend impacting any organization tasked with dispensing knowledge to their members.

BTW, there are huge financial/organizational implications of remote learning that are beyond the scope of my post but the leadership of NCRS is, no doubt, thinking about.

It should also be mentioned that these can be recorded for future use. How great it would be to have tech sessions by some of our members no longer with us, as an on-line reference.

Will your postings announcing open registration for the virtual schools be on the NCRS website, like all other events. Is there a technical systems limit to the number of participants that can register and listen in to a virtual school?

Indiana Chapter of Virtual School Registration opens December. 1. Door Panels, hinges and Labels. I believe Heart of Ohio will open soon, Hoods.

I love the idea of these virtual schools - especially during the winter months for many of us who get snowed or rained in for months at a time.

I have a request for the Event Registration listings: Can the virtual schools have a (V) or some other easily spotted tag to set them apart from the in-person schools/meets?
