        Gary,

Rich Pasqualone has really come through for me with previous orders by him. He really knows his hardware. Glad you found some nice examples through him of this bolt #3797244.

          Thanks Joe,

I need to expand my library to include those Chevrolet Specifications.

Since Jerry brought up this post, and got his answers, but since it further expanded with more info, I just so happened to find a box of original hardware from a 67 body off from a few years ago.

Images with measurements included. I call them #1,2,3,4. #4 being behind the rear wheels.

Gary, When I get home I'll have to check my photos. I have about 3,000 of that restoration on the laptop backup drive.

Note the #4 bolt in Rich's pictures does NOT have a pointed end like the other three. Me thinks it may be original but not NTFP.

                      Leif,

I noticed that as well, but if you look closely, it does seem to have a more of a pointed tip than a regular bolt.

Re: Bolt Size for #4 Body Mount

Gents, Here's the story after seeing my photos of the prep to lift the body off.

I had to cut heads off from BOTH #4 bolts to get them out. The longer bolt that I said was #4, is not. It's a Grade 8, and had 2 washers under the head. Now I'm unsure where it came from, but it came from the car somewhere.

                        #4 Left had 2 shims.
                        PC090010.jpg

                        #4 Right had 6 shims.
                        PC090007.jpg

After cutting the heads of the #4 bolts, the washers were junk so I tossed them along with the cutoff bolts.

                        PC090022.jpg

There were a total of 25 shims under the body. There are 17 shims leftover(a few were stuck together in the photos), but I recall I used several media blasted refinished shims back on the frame along with the repro LIC kit. I replicated the original shim count going back on.

Here's my shim map. 25 total.

Here's a photo of the #2 bolt when I removed it. I think I'm missing those two convertible-only #2 mount bolts in my collection because I may have reused them on the car since they're hidden. I can't recall if the kit I had included them. Maybe not and the reason I reused the originals.
                        PC110103.jpg

A few more photos of the bolts.

I'm still uncertain where that Grade 8 came from now, but definitely not the #4 mounts. It's tip is flat as you can see it standing up by itself in the center of the photo.

Even though you have one unidentified bolt, your documentation is impressive.

Sure Bob, I've a a date back in the shop tomorrow so I'll get the ruler and caliper out then. I'll get OD, ID, and thicknesses.

Edit... Gary I'll measure everything I have, except for those thin ones at #4 which I hacked to pieces with the cutoff wheel.
I do remember a thread some time ago talking about these washers too. I'll poke around the archives later.
