    '69 427/435 L89 restoration...I have a few questions, hoping for some help

Looking to source some parts and I am looking for some clarification/advice/info.

    1. PVC valve. JG says #CV736C.
For the correct assembly line 1969 PVC valve, what does it look like? Any identifying characteristics? I see many for sale on Ebay ranging from $20-$75. Will these pass judging?

    2. Tri power carb studs: 5/16"-18 on one end and 5/16"-24 on the other. Zinc dichromate finish. Top dimple. Natural steel nuts.
What is the length of these studs? 1.5"?

    3. What is the bolt length and size for the 2 bolts that secure the carb in addition to the studs? JG say Headmark is "A". DocRebuild had original GM for sale with WB headmarks.
Black plated. Any other headmarks work for judging?

    4. For the manifold vacuum port that is zinc finish. How many ports should come off of it for a car with power steering, power brakes, 4 speed, obviously no AC?
I'm thinking 2 ports. One for the power brakes and the other for the carb?

    5. What would be the proper headmark for the oil drain plug? I have one with RSC headmark. Any other headmark work for my Oct 31 69 build date?

Thanks in advance for any and all help

    Joe

I have a few 68-69 435's sitting here. They all have 736 PCV Valves. They should read AC SPARK PLUG on them, with 4 dimples on the bottom. The lower portion is crimped to the upper stem. There is one on SleaseBay for $10, number 155657087932.

The carburetor studs, with the dimple in the end, I think, is a 69 only thing. I have two 68 435's here neither have the dimples. Both 69's do.
The upper threaded portion measure about 5/8" long. From the intake surface to the top of the stud, measures 0.837 (not quite 7/8").
It is red lock-tite into the intake, I cannot get it out to measure the lower thread. Typically, if it matched the upper portion, (5/8"), it would be roughly 1-1/2" long.

If you could find a stud that measured 13/16" to 7/8" to the intake, it would look normal.

Vacuum fitting should have 2-ports with Power brakes. Automatic, with power brakes have 3-ports.
One port goes over the vacuum tank, the other goes to the power brake booster. Carb vacuum runs the AIR pump and the vacuum advance.

Last question, oil pan drain plug. I've seen a variety of headmarkings. The style of the bolt is important.
During judging, it's very difficult to see unless your arms are 6-feet long and you have a good mirror. I think, they should look like this...
If they have a 3/4" hex, they are a service replacement.
